Training Process

Training for the Theory Test

Part 1
We will provide you with the following: 
– The Highway Code  
– Driving the Essential Skills 
– Know Your Traffic as Signs 
– The Driving Instructors Handbook 
– Practical Teaching Skills for Driving Instructors 
– Full access to the DVSA App 
These will not only benefit you for your Part 1, but also for your career as an ADI.  

Driving Ability Test

Part 2
We believe in you being the best driver, so you are able to transfer those skills onto your students. We don’t want you to pass the driving ability test we want you breeze through it.

You will receive up to 10 hours of in-car training, to assess your driving, develop your driving skills and prepare you for your driving test. 


Instructional Ability Test

Part 3
We will provide you with the following:
– 40 hours of training,
a combination of in-car and in-class (on-line)
– Log book to track your taining
– 1:1 support throughout
– Free access to our workshops
– Access to weekly Zoom support
Additional training may be required (Additional cost) 
40 hours is a minimum requirement 

All THIS FOR £1,999

Trainee Licence Option

We sponsor you through your training package and offer you the following
– An additional 20 hours training
– Training Log Book 
– 1-1 Support 
– Weekly Zoom Meetings 
– FREE access to our Workshops 
– Marketing and Advertising 
– Learners (We can manage learners’ bookings and sales for you, as well as their Driving Test) 
– ADINJC Membership 
– PI/PL Cover 
– Diary Management App
– Top Box 
– Access to The Honest Truth
– Designated Trainer 

Additional Training Included
£89 per week

ADI Franchise

Here is what you will receive within your Franchise at Drive-Up Training;

adi Development program

At Drive Up Training, we are dedicated to Driving Instructor development and Road Safety.
This is why we have our ADI Development Program for those Instructors who
are dedicated to improving themsleves and road safety.
For each year an ADI stays with us, we will reward them by paying for
and supporting them through additional qualifications.

Year 1 – RoSPA Advanced Driving Test
Year 2 – Level 3 in Coaching & Mentoring
Year 3 – Level 3 Award in Education & Training (AET)
Year 4 – Diploma in Coaching and Behavioural Change for Safe Driving
or Fleet accreditation course
Year 5 – Promotion to Drive-Up Instructor Trainer
and reduction in fees.
